Secrets June 19, 2013

I’ve learned how to keep my mouth shut

And how to keep my skeletons safe in the closet

People are always looking for something to bring you down

They want to see you sad, your face in a frown

Don’t give away your secrets to anyone

Hold them tight to make certain

They are yours and only yours to bare

So keep them safe and take good care

We all have a secret or two

Some of us have more than a few

There is no law against keeping it to yourself

Wrap it up and stick it on the bookshelf

Don’t allow others to break them free

They are only for you to see

It’s called a secret, so keep it that way

Don’t ever speak of it, don’t ever say

Keep it locked up right where it belongs

Voicing them will not right the wrongs
